UC Davis provides wireless connectivity to guest users as a service but offers no guarantees that any use of the wireless connection is in any way secure, or that any privacy can be protected when using it. Use of this wireless connection is entirely at the risk of the user; the University is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damages that may occur during, or as a result of, its use.
Guests are expected to use the wireless access in a legal and responsible manner. Misuse of the guest wireless network may result in the loss of your internet connection privileges, and possible disciplinary and/or legal action. See campus Acceptable Use Policy
The UCD guest wireless service, as with most guest networks, is unsecure. Any information sent or received over guest wireless networks could be intercepted. To minimize risks, guests should not transmit credit card information, passwords, Social Security Numbers, health information, or any other sensitive personal information while using the UCD guest wireless service and should have up-to-date virus protection on their devices.
